Onam Festival

Onashamsakal!!
“God’s own country.
Or a heaven on earth.
Place full of mountains, greenery and streams,
Oh Kerala! God created you with utmost care.”
It was a fantastic and spectacular celebration of Onam at HIS, Guindy. Dr.Elizabeth Verghese,Chairperson,HGI presided over the Onam celebrations. The Guests of the evening were Dr.Krishnan Mohan, Pediatrician and singer, Ms.Brinda Das, Classical dancer, TV artist , Entrepreneur who entertained us with wonderful onam songs and traditional dances. Teachers also performed the traditional Kaikottikali dance of Kerala. There was a house wise Pookalam competition from Grade 5 to 7 in the morning session. The kindergarten classrooms were decked with Colourful Pookalams.
